The manual soldering process
-
1.Hold the soldering iron and solder wire ready. Check the location where the joint is to be made through a stereoscopic microscope.
-
2.Touch the tip of the soldering iron against the land on the circuit board and the component's leads to heat them up.
-
3.When you judge that the temperature is right, starting feeding in the solder wire to melt it.
-
4.When you judge that sufficient solder is in place, stop feeding in the solder wire but continue applying heat until the solder spreads out.
-
5.When the solder has spread out sufficiently, remove the soldering iron.
-
6.The formation of a fillet represents the completion of the soldering.
