Ken Nakamura, Nikon Fellow

Ken Nakamura joined Nikon in 1976. Since then, he has been engaged in the development of manufacturing engineering. He has created a variety of Nikon manufacturing engineering technologies, including those used for test and measurement instruments. In particular, Nakamura is responsible for many successes in optical analysis for lens development and a wide range of other Nikon products as a developer of test and measurement instruments. The production equipment that he has created is still at work at Nikon Group plants.

In 2006, Nakamura was appointed as a Nikon Fellow. Since then, he has been in charge of manufacturing technologies, making great efforts to nurture successful young engineers. His belief is for Nikon to develop its own key components, key technologies, and core tools for production equipment so that Nikon will successfully lead the market.
