CFI60 Objectives

Types of Objectives

There is an array of objectives available to suit every kind of microscopy.
Download the below PDF for details.

Type Summary
CFI Achromat Series These objectives have best optical performance in the center of the view field, and correct effectively for many kinds of aberrations. C (red) and F (blue) chromatic aberrations are removed.
CFI Plan Achromat Series All kinds of aberrations are corrected in these objectives to produce flat, sharp images throughout the filed of view from center to edges.
CFI Plan Apochromat Series Not only C (red) and F (blue) chromatic aberrations, but also G (violet) aberrations are corrected in these objectives to cover the full spectrum of visible light. These top-of-the-line lenses combine a large numerical aperture and ideal correction of aberrations all the way to the edges of the field view.
The Nano Crystal Coat-deposited CFI Plan Apochromat λ objective series offers remarkably high transmission throughout a broad range of wavelengths from UV to the near-IR region; bright, sharp and high-contrast images; and world's highest level of chromatic aberration correction, resolution and image flatness.
CFI Apochromat λS Series These objectives provide chromatic aberration correction over a wide wavelength range from 405nm and are powerful enough for spectral imaging and simultaneous multi-wavelength acquisition.
CFI Plan Fluor Series These versatile objectives can be used for brightfield, Nomarski DIC, or epi-fluorescence microscopy. These lenses have a particularly high ultraviolet transmittance rate and low autofluorescence, enabling high contrast fluorescence images to be obtained.
CFI S Plan Fluor Series The broadband multilayer coating realizes high transmittance from near-ultraviolet to near-infrared wavelengths. The correction collar ring allows these objectives to be used with a diverse range of culture vessels and specimen thicknesses. High-quality images without aberrations can be obtained under a broad range of illumination techniques.
CFI S Fluor Series These objectives are for epi-fluorescence microscopy with a transmittance rate of 340nm or above.
Use Summary
Phase Contrast Objectives These objectives for phase contrast microscopy contain a phase ring. (Used with a dedicated condenser.)
Apodized Phase Contrast Objectives Apodized phase contrast objectives are effective in attenuating the halo effects which plague conventional phase contrast observations. (Used with a dedicated condenser.)
Polarizing Objectives These objectives minimize the light distortion to observe color tone and differences generated by polarization and double refraction in the specimen.
No Coverglass Objectives These objectives are specially designed for viewing specimens without a coverglass.
TIRF Objectives These objectives were developed for evanescent wave TIRF imaging, but they may also be used to obtain high quality images through confocal, epi-fluorescent, or other kinds of microscopy.
Nikon Advanced Modulation Contrast Objectives These objectives allow pseudo-relief observation with plastic petri-dishes, impossible with Nomarski DIC microscopy. (Used with a special condenser.)
Water Dipping Objectives These long W.D. and high NA objectives are suitable for viewing brain slices, living tissue or deep areas of thick specimens. They are ideal for simultaneous patch clamp electrophysiology, combined with epi-fluorescence, confocal or multi-photon imaging. The 100x objective has a correction ring that corrects depth-induced aberration to ensure outstanding Z-axis resolution in IR-DIC imaging.
