Nikon began research, development and production of optical glass materials in 1918, the year after the establishment of Nippon Kogaku K.K. (Nikon Corporation). By leveraging this vast history of technology, Nikon produces industry-leading synthetic silica glass and calcium fluoride materials. As well as the most advanced photomask substrates for LCD FPD applications, lenses for IC steppers and optical components for many other demanding applications, Nikon's analysis and measurement services are also contributing to our customers' quality assurance needs in a variety of applications.
