Award-Winning Paintings in the 19th Competition
The theme for the 19th competition was "Biodiversity: connecting with nature," with the background being the United Nations' declaration that 2010 be the International Year of Biodiversity. About 590 thousand entries from 95 countries around the world were received and 63 prize winners were chosen.
The following are the paintings of the competition winners, including the 1st and 2nd prize global winners, and six regional winners (one from each region).
