Nikon COOLPIX S1000pj Recipient of Society for Information Display Gold Display Application of the Year Award

Nikon Corporation (Michio Kariya, President) is pleased to announce that the Nikon COOLPIX S1000pj compact digital camera is the recipient of the 2010 Gold Display Application of the Year Award presented by the Society for Information Display (SID), the leading global organization dedicated to the advancement of electronic display technology.
SID is the only professional organization focused on the display industry, and is made up of more than 6,000 members worldwide. The Display of the Year Awards (DYA) are the most prestigious awards in the display industry. Since 1995, the SID's International Awards Committee has annually honored the most innovative display products, components and applications with the greatest promise of shaping the future of the display industry with Gold and Silver honors in the three categories.

This year's DYAs was presented on May 26 at the SID Annual International Symposium, Seminar and Exhibition, also known as Display Week 2010, to be held May 23–28 in Seattle, Washington.
