Notice regarding Transfer of Fixed Asset

Nikon Corporation (Michio Kariya, President, Tokyo) hereby announces that its Board of Directors, at a meeting held today, has resolved to transfer its fixed asset as follows:
- Reason of transfer
A part of land at the Yokohama Plant will be transferred to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and some buildings there will move responding to the request of expropriation for the construction projects of the new Yokohama 468 road by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the Yokohama-Fujisawa town planning road by Yokohama City.

It is estimated that transfer income after the following costs deduction will be appropriated in the financial results of the financial year ending March 31, 2013 where transfer will take place: booked value of land, cost of building demolition, cost of move and other relevant expenses. This transaction will have no effect on the financial results of the current financial year ending March 31, 2010.
