Introduction of New Compact Inverted Metallurgical Microscope ECLIPSE MA100
October 11, 2006
Nikon Corporation (Mr.Michio Kariya, President) is pleased to announce the introduction of the New Inverted Microscope, model MA100 for use with Metal objects and Electronics parts observation, that will be available in the marketplace from November 16, 2006. It is a compact inverted metallurgical microscope dedicated for the observation/inspection of micro structure, case depth, etc of metal samples such as automotive parts and/or various mechanical parts and Electronics samples. It's being designed for use in the inspection department and/or quality control in the manufacturing production/assembly line environment. Its size is maintained to be compact, offering simple-to-use so as to increase productivity, and maintaining affordable price.

Product Concept
MA100 has been designed considering the use in the in-line inspection environment of the metal materials structure observation. In order to increase the productivity in such environment, its operation is designed to be simple enough and easy-to-use.
Furthermore, the MA100 can be connected with Nikon Digital Cameras for microscopes as well as the imaging software for seamless image processing. As this system configurations will enable instant image capturing and metallographic analysis, the such system answers to the needs from the inspection and/or quality control department in the manufacturing, those that need to observe, inspect, save images, and perform materials analysis of the metal parts and those that are in automotive parts, various mechanical components, electronics parts.
Features
- Affordable Price
Its price is a less-expensive microscope being set at the lowest range among Nikon Metallurgical microscope. It can be used in the real manufacturing environment, maintaining productivity and functionality needed. It incorporates, Nikon CFI60 Objective lens, allowing higher contrast image acquisition.
- Simple to use and Higher Operational performance
High quality image can be obtained by simply taking three steps; changing magnifications, focusing and moving XY stage. Also by combining Nikon Digital Camera for microscopes, an image can be captured easily.
- Various kinds of Metal Parts and Bigger size of sample can be observed A plane stage or Newly designed XY stage are selectable. The newly designed XY stage allows you to load bigger and heavier samples on the stage, It features in its durability and ease of use.
- Compact size
The standard set weights about 9Kg and its size is compact.
The MA100 can be used in the limited space. - Digital Imaging capability
Since separate camera port is available in addition to the eyepiece observation tube, the MA100 is ready to be connected with Nikon Digital Cameras for microscopes, so as to capture high quality image. On top of that, the combination with PC based Nikon Imaging software NIS-ELEMENTS supporting various powerful image processing, simple measurements, image analysis and report ingeneration, allows MA100 to be a solution
for the laboratories use.
