Introduction of Multi-Purpose Zoom Microscope MULTIZOOM AZ100

Nikon Corporation (Mr.Michio Kariya, President) is pleased to announce the introduction of the Universal Zoom Microscope, model MULTI-PURPOSE ZOOM MICROSCOPE MULTIZOOM AZ100. This new microscope is designed to cover wide range of observations needed in both biological field and industrial field, especially at laboratory, R & D and quality control areas.

The Microscope is used for extensive purposes such as failure analysis and quality control both in the industrial field or R&D in the biological field. Within the industrial field, demands of all-in-one system allowing for both Macro observation (Wide field of view / very low magnification observation) and Micro observation (middle magnifi cation observation) have been increased. Also, in the biological field, demands of extensive magnification from wide field of view / very low magnification observation to middle magnification / high NA observation have been increased.
Because in the development biology which highlights ontogenesis as research subject, a wide range of observation from small animal observation under low magnification through cellular observation under high magnification is required. The New Universal Zoom Microscope, model MULTI-PURPOSE ZOOM MICROSCOPE MULTIZOOM AZ100 is the product that can cover various observations utilizing its high NA in spite of keeping long working distance and its wide field of view.

Features

  1. Universal Zoom Microscope allows various observations

    Various observations such as DIC(middle-low magnification) are possible, thanks to its tele-centric optical system. Combination of fluorescence observation is helpful in the advanced research uses. Also, UV fluorescence observation is possible, in middle magnification area.

  2. Monozoom optical system allows higher quality image

    Monozoom optical system is the parallax optics, unlike Stereo Microscopes.
    It allows observation of the image without inclination by enabling perpendicular observation. Also, combination of Nikon digital camera for microscopes and imaging software NIS-Element allows high and various image processing, measurements, analysis and report generations.

  3. High magnification(from 5x to 400x)

    Newly designed Zoom optical system and Objective lenses allow observations in wide magnification range *from 5x to 400x.

    • *Total magnification with coaxial episcopic illuminator is from 6.25x to 500x.
  4. High optical performance

    Series of lenses for exclusive use (Plan Apochromat which greatly reduce chromatic aberration and Plan Fluor which make appoint of Fluorescence observation) allow observation with low chromatic aberration, high NA and high contrast in whole observation magnifications. Also, because aperture diaphragm links with zooming optical system, contrast can be set properly depends on the magnification.

  5. Mercury Fiber Light Source for epi-fluorescence "Intensilight" New light source improve operability as compared with conventional mercury light source. This mercury lamp eliminates the centering and focusing process and reduces the heat affects to the microscope. Both manual or auto type (Controlled by PC) are available.
  6. Improved operability and work efficiency

    Location of each function button is optimized so as to offer good operability and work efficiency. Newly developed XY stage for exclusive use and double-focusing mechanics allow improvement in operability at extewnsive magnifications.
    Also, 8xzoom ratio and Triple Nosepiece allows observation from very low magnification to very high magnification smoothly.
