Establishment of Four Branches in Major Chinese Cities

Nikon Corporation (Michio Kariya, President) is pleased to announce that the wholly owned sales and service subsidiary, Nikon Imaging (China) Sales Co., Ltd. established four branches in the cities of Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Chengdu, which began operations at the end of April 2006 to enhance Nikon sales support and after-sales service in China.

In response to the ever expanding Chinese market, Nikon fortified its manufacturing capabilities with establishment of Nikon Imaging (China) Co., Ltd. in 2002 in the city of Wuxi, to focus on the manufacture of new imaging products beginning with digital cameras.

In June 2005 Nikon's sales and service subsidiary, Nikon Imaging (China) Co., Ltd., began successful marketing and sales operations in Shanghai. In addition, Nikon service facilities have been established throughout China with the goal of improving services to respond to the needs of the Chinese market.

By establishing branches in four of China's largest cities, Nikon is able to offer China's continuously growing market quality products and service that respond to user needs, to further integrate all aspects of our business from marketing and sales support to after-sales service, and to increase the awareness and popularity of the Nikon brand to Nikon's presence in China.
