PictureProject COOLPIX Remote Control

Remote camera control, a function also incorporated in Nikon Capture 4 software to remotely control the popular D70 and other Nikon digital SLR models, has earned wide acclaim among professionals for its advanced and convenient remote control operation. PictureProject COOLPIX Remote Control has been developed to offer a similar solution for the COOLPIX 8400 and 8800; remote camera operation can enable changing camera settings via computer, particularly useful when you can't access the camera's controls or if the camera is in an inaccessible remote location. Those involved in nature photography, studio work, or scientific and industrial photography will recognize the advantages of such remote control. COOLPIX Remote Control can be used on any computer (Mac and PC) that is equipped with PictureProject 1.1 or later, for control of COOLPIX 8400 and 8800. Key settings and shooting functions can be controlled remotely from the computer, including settings for the AF Mode, Flash Mode, image size and quality, as well as control over zoom operation and the shutter release. With COOLPIX Remote Control, images taken remotely can be saved directly to the computer's hard disk drive; there is no need for concern about changing the camera's CompactFlash™ memory card during remote shooting. Because of the unique operation of COOLPIX cameras, COOLPIX Remote Control is equipped with real-time preview monitoring on your computer, which improves workflow efficiency.

As a PictureProject Plug-in, the COOLPIX Remote Control System can also take advantage of the PictureProject Image Organizing Solution; with just a click, you can designate that the transferred image will be added to a Collection!

nik Color Efex Pro 2.0 Express Edition is a set of fifteen plug-in filters that add a selection of very creative effects to images that are managed within PictureProject 1.1 and Nikon Capture 4 (Ver. 4.1 and later), making enhancing and transforming images more exciting. nik Color Efex Pro 2.0 Express Edition makes it possible to perform advanced image processing that is professional-quality, adding a level of artistic potential.

Some of the fifteen filters included with nik Color Efex Pro 2.0 Express Edition are 'Old Photo: Black and White', which emulates old-fashioned black and white photographic styles, 'Graduated Orange', which adds a gradient of orange for simulating impactful sunsets, and 'Midnight Blue', which applies a cinematic day-for-night effect by introducing a blue cast to the image. Multiple filters can be applied to the same picture for wide ranging and creative effects. With PictureProject's undo option you can apply, remove and reapply filters as you work to achieve your imaging objective, and the undo feature lets you make changes at any time, before and after saving the image.

PictureProject DVD Show^*1

PictureProject DVD Show is a plug-in that makes slide show creation and playback more fun by automating the process of editing movie clips and still images, and you can add special effects and music to create advanced-looking video shows that can be saved on DVD video format or Video CD format for sharing with friends, family or clients. Even difficult operations can be performed at the click of a single button, with the selection of twenty-four different styles automatically handling the necessary editing. The software even automatically recognizes human figures in the pictures or movie clips to distinguish relevant contents to create a new sequence of images in a selected style. Transition of images is also automatically timed to synchronize with the rhythm of the selected music track.

Some of the twenty-four different styles from which you can choose include 'Fifties TV', which recreates the grainy black & white look of the early days of television, 'Classic Sepia', which adds a sepia tone reminiscent of that seen in early films, 'Valentine', which adds heart-shaped transitions, or 'Detective', which features a sleuth-inspired mystery theme. The completed video productions can be saved to CD or DVD media, shared with friends or family, and easily played back on compatible DVD players.
