Perfect for outdoor use and watching sports events.

March 11, 2004

Nikon Vision Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Nikon Corporation, is proud to announce the release of our compact Dach (roof) type binoculars, the SPORTSTAR IV 8x25DCF and 10x25DCF, which feature 8x and 10x magnification, respectively. Their wide field of view is suitable for both outdoor use and watching sports events.
In today's optical market, compact, portable binoculars are quite popular. In 2001, Nikon released the SPORTSTAR III, a pair of foldable compact binoculars that garnered high acclaim.

Our new SPORTSTAR IV binoculars feature a wide apparent field of view* which helps to provide clear, powerful images when viewing the fast-moving objects often found in sports or bird watching. A water-resistant structure makes them even more convenient for outdoor use. They feature a foldable slim body and are available in silver and metallic black.

  • *Apparent field of view = real field of view x magnification
Apparent field of view is the visible breadth as seen through the binoculars. Binoculars with an apparent field of view greater than 65° are defined as wide field of view types.
