Nikon, constituent of the FTSE4Good Global Index

Nikon Corporation (Teruo SHIMAMURA, President & COO) is pleased to announce that Nikon has met the FTSE4Good criteria, and is a constituent member, since March 2004, of the FTSE4Good Global Index*1, a leading investment index for socially responsible investors. The index is published by FTSE International*2, a UK based global index company.
FTSE4 Good Global Index is an international index of companies that demonstrate high standards of corporate social responsibility in the areas of environmental sustainability; positive relationship with stakeholders; and universal human right support. The index is expected to play a vital role in the growing market for socially responsible investments.
Encouraged by this inclusion, Nikon Corporation will continue to promote a diverse range of policies that further the Company's social responsibility ideals.
