Notice on Dissolution and Liquidation of Subsidiary Company

At the meeting of the Board of Directors of Nikon Corporation on June 27, 2003, a decision was made to dissolve Nikon Sales-Promotion Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Nikon Corporation, on June 30, 2003, and to liquidate at the end of September, as detailed below.
Printing business that had been the responsibility of Nikon Sales-Promotion Co., Ltd. was terminated effective December 31, 2002. Operations for advertising business were transferred to Nikon Corporation and Nikon Photo Products, Inc. as of January 1, 2003.

Nikon Sales-Promotion Co., Ltd. was established in July of 1987, and handled advertising and printing business. However, in the interest of increased business operation efficiency for the Nikon Group, Nikon Sales-Promotion Co., Ltd. shifted responsibility for its activities to Nikon CorporationÕs business units, and the decision was made to dissolve the corporation. - Outline of Nikon Sales-Promotion Co., Ltd.
