EISA Declares Nikon Lite-Touch Zoom 140ED "European Compact Camera of the Year 2002-2003"

August 16, 2002

TOKYO -- Nikon Corporation is pleased to announce that the Nikon 35mm compact camera Lite•Touch Zoom 140ED has been declared “European Compact Camera of the Year 2002-2003” by the Photo Panel of EISA.

EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association) is an awards panel made up of editors-in-chief and technical editors from the largest general circulation photo-journals in 20 European countries.

In its official statement, EISA said “The Nikon Lite•Touch Zoom 140 ED is a seductive blend of good handling, long zoom and picture quality that beats most competition in this class. Its 38-140mm lens is sharp, and displays minimal vignetting at all focal lengths. Other key features are a wide autofocus, built-in AF-illumination lamp for accurate low-light focusing, a flash with good coverage for the 38mm focal length, plus good and consistent exposure. The Nikon Lite•Touch Zoom 140ED may cost more than average, but still represents full value for money.”
