Establishment of The Production Facility in China

Nikon Corporation (President: Teruo SHIMAMURA) decided to establish the new production facility in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China, to enhance the cost competitiveness and production capacity of digital cameras and other products of their Imaging products business. Two major production facilities, with this new production facility added to Nikon (Thailand) Co., Ltd., will constitute the axe of overseas production for Nikon imaging products business.

Nikon Corporation set the imaging business strategy to develop the broad general consumer market backed by the Nikon brand enjoying the enthusiastic support from both the professional and the advanced amateur photographers. In line with this strategy, the new facility is designed for the mass production of digital cameras to be distributed to the worldwide markets.
