EISA declares Nikon D1X "European Pro Digital Camera of the Year 2001-2002"
August 2001
TOKYO -- Nikon Corporation is pleased to announce that the Nikon D1X Professional Digital SLR camera has been declared "Best Digital SLR System Camera in Europe 2001-2002" by the Photo Panel of EISA.
EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association) is an awards panel made up of editors-in-chief and technical editors from the largest general circulation photo-journals in 16 European countries.
In its official statement, EISA said "The new Nikon D1X improves upon the already impressive digital capabilities of the Nikon D1. With a 5.47-megapixel CCD, the D1X offers considerably better resolution than its predecessor, but still manages to maintain a high picture rate of up to three frames per second, making the camera suitable for both press and commercial photography. New software also contributes to produce more accurate colours, especially in flesh rendition, and brilliant reds. The Nikon D1X is a highly versatile tool for professional digital photographers at a very reasonable price."
