A message from Nikon Corporation about the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001

The thoughts and prayers of Nikon and its employees go out to all the victims of the recent tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, their families and their friends. We are grateful to the firefighters, police officers, medical staff, rescue workers and others who have risked their lives and courageously gone above and beyond the call duty.

To assist in the rescue and recovery efforts, Nikon has provided photography equipment to the NYPD (New York City Police Department) and the FDNY (Fire Department - City of New York) , and has also donated $100,000- for the New York State World Trade Center Relief Fund to help support the victims and their families.

In addition, Nikon employees are banding together in strength and unity through blood drives, clothing and food donations and volunteer efforts, and are making contributions to the September 11th Fund through our company's matching donation program.

While we cannot erase the painful images from our memory, we know a new picture will emerge from this tragedy-one that shows determination, unity and strength to face the future together.
