The Nikon Group, led by Nikon UK Limited, is an Official Supplier for The 129th Open Championship (07-20 to 23)

Nikon Corporation (YOSHIDA, Shoichiro, president) will be an Official Supplier for 129th Open Championship, primarily through its subsidiary in the United Kingdom, Nikon UK Limited (MASAI, Toshiyuki, managing director).

The Open Championship (http://www.opengolf.com), attended by the top golfers from around the world, will be held from 2000-07-20 to 23. Years ending with "0" or "5", like this year, will be held on the Old Course near St. Andrews, Scotland, which is said to be the oldest course in the world and called the "Home of Golf".

The Nikon Group, lead by Nikon UK Limited, is proud to participate in this time-honored tournament, which began in 1860. Signs bearing the Nikon logo will be erected around the course, and a service depot will be opened to provide equipment loan and repairs to media people.

To the public gallery, Nikon plans to loan binoculars, cameras and other equipment, providing a wide range of support for the most exciting golfing event of the year.
