Kontinental Hockey League 2012–2013 Season

Ice hockey is a popular sport in both Russia and Europe. Nikon is a sponsor of the Kontinental Hockey League's Championship season 2012–2013, which started on Sept. 4, 2012.

The Nikon logo will be visible as an ice rink perimeter sign at 676 regular games over a seven-month period and a maximum of 105 playoffs in the eighth month. Nikon will also show commercials and conduct numerous promotional activities at these events.

The Kontinental Hockey League, a professional hockey league, is now in its fifth year. Nikon has sponsored the league since its inception. In the 2008-2009 season, the Russian league was expanded to include teams from Belarus, Latvia and Kazakhstan. Slovakia joined the league in 2011–12, and the Czech Republic and Ukraine began this season.

Considered one of the world's top hockey leagues, and with teams from seven countries participating, the Kontinental Hockey League is now popular across Europe.
